Canadian audiences are in for an interesting new detective series releasing toward the second part of 2017. The Detail TV show centers on three fiercely talented female homicide investigators who work tirelessly to solve crimes while navigating the complicated demands of their personal lives. The one-hour drama will premiere on CTV with a 10-episode season this year and is developed by the team of Saving Hope.

The new TV Series is now under production and will be shot in and around Toronto. The Detail is produced by Ilana Frank of ICF Films with global independent studio eOne in association with CTV. The series has also been picked up by ION Television for broadcast in the U.S. Episode writers include Naledi Jackson, Sarah Goodman, Graeme Stewart, Katrina Saville, Joe Pernice, and Matt Doyle. The episodes will be directed by various Directors including include Gregory Smith, Jordan Canning, Kelly Makin, Sara St. Onge, Grant Harvey, John Fawcett, and James Genn.

The Detail TV Show Story
The Detail TV show story revolves around the lives of four women detectives who are resourceful, intelligent and serious about their jobs. Jacqueline ‘Jack’ Cooper (Shenae Grimes-Beech) is a street smart Detective , with keen investigative skills, but a messy personal life. Detective Stevie Hall (Angela Griffin), is a sharp quick-witted interrogator who is Jack’s mentor – even while she balances the demands of work and her complicated family life. Staff Inspector Fiona Currie (Wendy Crewson), is the homicide unit’s formidable boss, who works overtime to secure justice, no matter what the cost.
The Detail TV show offers a fresh take on the one-hour procedural with a unique blend of drama, investigation, action, and wit by these three women solving major crimes against all odds.

Episode 1
Reeling from a shocking revelation in her personal life, Detective Jack Cooper (Shenae Grimes-Beech) throws herself into the investigation of an apparent suicide with her partner Detective Stevie Hall (Angela Griffin,), who’s dealing with a shock of her own after a romantic figure from her past returns. As the two partners investigate the life of the deceased under the watchful eye of Staff Inspector Fiona Currie (Wendy Crewson), they uncover a story of betrayal that mirrors their own personal drama and questions whether this was suicide or murder? New information puts the husband of the deceased Dr. Hickman Rashi (Huse Madhavji) in the spotlight. In a series of interviews, Jack’s interrogatory prowess is on full display, as she works to get a confession.
Episode 2
After a young computer programmer is found brutally murdered, Homicide Detectives Stevie Hall and Jack Cooper find themselves on a twisting road through his fatal last days, while still managing their own spiralling personal lives. Taking them through the dark worlds of addiction, webcamming and revenge site posts, the detectives work overtime to find the killer. Meanwhile, Jack deals with the fallout from the revelations in her relationship with Marc Savage. Still living in his condo, Jack must come to an agreement with Marc that doesn’t leave her out on the streets, and allows Marc to keep his family life intact. Meanwhile, Stevie’s family life seems to be suffering from a lack of excitement, as she and her husband Jono suffer through the malaise of a couple that’s been together too long, and have too many child and work-related tasks to deal with before they can even think about time together.
