After making a big splash with his first Maya, Vikram Bhatt took up his second love in movies, a horror web series. The Spotlight web series started on 31st march 2017 takes a behind the scenes look at Bollywood stars and their all too public life. The series is about an ambitious young girl who wants to make it big in Bollywood.

The limited 10 episode web series will be available on VIU app for Android and Apple. Directed by Suhail Tatari, the web series focuses on the dynamics in the film industry. This will be the second series that Vikram Bhatt makes for Viu after Geharaiyaan. The rumor mills are working overtime, and media is speculating the the story might be even based on Kangana Ranaut.

Spotlight web series story revolves around Sana a young and ambitious girl from rural India. He hunger for success takes her to Bollywood and she rises to the pinnacle of her career pretty fast. But she also realizes that her journey to success is very lonely. The love that she got from her friends slowly eroded as climbed up the social ladder.
With the bog break, Sana falls in love with her co-actor. Their whirlwind romance takes the industry and media by storm. As the news of affair threatens her rise, Sana decides to come clean and confesses to having an affair with the star actor. This adds to her stardom, but she loses his love.
Bold, fearless, and outspoken, Sana is ready to fight the fight and stay on the top of the game, but at the cost of personal life and love. Will her sacrifices for success and the enemies she had made on the way allow her to stay at the top? Or will all of this be for nothing in the end?
