With Force Awakens, Star Wars is now perhaps the longest running successful franchise in any film industry. Successful and popular being the key word here. With millions of fans it was the most discussed and talked about movie of the last century and inspired generations of Americans to adopt the ways of the Galactic Empire. HP has come out with a Star Wars Special Edition laptop to mark this epic movie franchise. This got me thinking and I couldn’t resist the force of the dark side. So here it is The Sith Martini recipe. Resist if you can!

We have people growing up with greetings like “may the Force be with you” and kids playing with light sabers. Its impact on everyone is quite amazing in itself. So unless you have been living under a rock, it is unlikely that the Star Wars fever hasn’t caught you. Or perhaps Sci-Fi is not your thing.

I am on a mission to watch all the Star Wars movies again in run up to the 25th December 2015 release of Force Awakens here in India. The HP Star Wars edition laptop and the intense theme has inspired me to do something Star Wars on the blog. So here is my experiment to create a Cocktail for those who are willing to explore the dark side. Consider this as an induction drink for those who pledge allegiance to the Sith lord. The Sith Martini ingredients

30ml Dark Rum

30ml Brandy

60ml Jamun (black plum) Juice or extract, unsweetened

60ml Sugar Syrup

1/2 tsp Orange Zest

Crushed Ice

The Sith Martini Method

1. Add all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker and give it a nice shake

2. Strain the liquid in a Martini glass
