Prom is no doubt a big thing for scores of Juniors and Seniors each year. This cultural event marks one of the most important days of school life across the US. So it is obvious that many of the TV shows have at least one Prom episode as they fly past different seasons. More so if the shows are centered around teens. Head of the Class (1986 TV Series), Episode: Queen, Queen, Queen for a Day (1990)
It’s time for school prom and Arvid is among the ones who will choose who will be the prom queen, but he unwittingly tells Viki he’ll support her. And he also inadvertently tells Rhonda the same thing.
Who’s the Boss? (1984 TV Series), Episode: Prom Night II (1988)
As soon as Angela hears that Samantha will go to prom with Jesse, she relives a childhood trauma, and does her best to make prom as perfect as possible for Samantha. Sam, however, is fed up with all the preparations, and calls the prom off.

But he must sometime tell Nat that he’s leaving. Meanwhile, Brenda and Dylan face breaking up after her pregnancy scare, especially when Jim and Cindy get angry at Brenda after he’s forced to tell them her prom night tryst with Dylan.
Full House (1987), Episode: Prom Night (1993)
As DJ prepares for prom, she fears that Steve may have resurfacing feelings for his old girlfriend, Rachel. On the big night, DJ realizes that her suspicions may be accurate, as Rachel tries to get Steve to escort her to an after-party at the hotel.
That ’70s Show (1998), Episode: Prom Night (1999)
Eric is hoping the prom will allow him to take a next step with Donna, Hyde convinces him to take a motel-room; when they get there, it’s grubby. Jackie has dumped Michael, yet whines he didn’t ask her; in fact Kelso takes easy Pam Macy; Jackie now cries till Hyde takes her; on the night he notices his friends still only want each-other and makes Michael act accordingly.

Sixteen year-old high-school student Donald sells chocolate to raise money for his prom; when Dharma encourages him to ask the girl he prefers to take, he does: her!

Roswell (1999), Episode: Heart of Mine (2001)
The prom is approaching fast and our Roswellian friends are extremely excited, each looking forward to it for different reasons. Liz is going to ask Max to go with her, but her night ends very differently to the way she hoped it would.
How I Met Your Mother (2005), Episode: Best Prom Ever (2006)
To listen to a band Marshall wants to play at the wedding, Lily,Barney and Robin sneak into a High School prom. Lily, Robin and Barney decide to crash the prom, which ends up being a little easier for Lily and Robin than Barney. This experience is a new one for Robin, who has never attended a prom. But it brings back old memories for Lily, who remembers back to her high school dreams and what she hasn’t accomplished in her life. Meanwhile, Ted and Robin come to a new understanding about their estranged relationship.
Gilmore Girls (2000), Episode: Lorelai Out of Water (2003)
Lorelai and Rory clean out the garage so Lane’s band can use it for practice. Luke and lawyers don’t mix except for maybe Taylor’s new attorney. Paris tries to impeach Rory during the student council meeting, which gets them both sent to the head master’s office. Lane’s prom plans back fire.

Glee (2009), Episode: Prom Queen (2011)
The junior prom approaches. Mercedes doesn’t have a date, so Rachel makes a suggestion; Kurt invites Blaine who fears a repeat of a beating the last time he went to a dance with a date; Santana and Karofsky organize gay-protection squads as part of their law-and-order campaign for prom king and queen; Puckerman wants Artie’s help in spiking the punch at the dance; and, the glee club is going to provide some of the music at the prom itself.
Make It or Break It (2009), Episode: Save the Last Dance (2010)
Payson invites the girls to her first high school prom. Lauren believes her dad got a new dress for her, but really Steve got it for Chloe to give to Emily.
The O.C. (2003), Episode: The O.Sea (2005)
Seth and Zach squabble over who should take Summer to the prom and who will meet George Lucas for dinner over the publishing of the graphic novel. Meanwhile, Sandy takes drastic actions with a recovering Kirsten.

Pretty Little Liars (2010), Episode: FrAmed (2015)
Aria wants to see her work in a gallery but Ella is determined to keep her under surveillance at home. Hanna is still very uncomfortable with the scholarship money from Jason and wants to give it back. The girls find out that they may not be going to prom due to ‘security issues’.
Switched at Birth (2011), Episode: Venus, Cupid, Folly, and Time (2012)
Just before prom, Wilkie’s father tells Daphne that Wilkie is being sent away to boarding school. Emmett finds a romantic way to invite Bay to the deaf prom but Wilkie spills the beans to Daphne and Emmett must tell Bay about his infidelity.
The Carrie Diaries (2013), Episode: This Is the Time (2014)
Carrie, Mouse, Maggie and Walt decide to go together to their senior prom at The Waldorf Astoria as a final hurrah. Mouse learns a secret about Donna LaDonna that could threaten her reign as queen bee. Meanwhile, Sebastian hides a big decision from Carrie.

The Fosters (2013), Episode: More Than Words (2015)
When Lena’s half-brother Nate comes for a visit with Lena and her parents, Lena aims to get an apology for an offensive name he called her mother years ago. Meanwhile, Cole invites Callie, Jude and Connor to an LGBTQ prom.
Class (2016), Episode: For Tonight We Might Die (2016)
Meet the students of Coal Hill School. The resident genius and under-appreciated good girl are joined by mysterious newcomer Charlie and football star Ram. The events take a nasty turn as autumn? prom approaches. An unexpected visitor shows them the ropes and helps them save the day.
Bad Education (2012 ), Episode: The Prom (2014)
Term is due to end and, with all his pupils leaving, Alfie feels unable to carry on without them so he quits. He gets a job in a DIY store but tells everybody he is working for a computer games company. However Miss Gulliver discovers his secret and persuades him to attend the end of term prom, where all the students express their appreciation of him. When the new term starts he is back to teach another class.
