One Dollar TV Show is a mystery set in a small rust belt town in post-recession America, where a one-dollar bill changing hands connects a group of characters involved in a shocking multiple murder.
The path of the dollar bill and point of view in each episode paint a picture of a modern American town with deep class and cultural divides that spill out into the open as the town’s secrets get revealed. During the course of the series, we meet,
Bad Curl, the beloved owner of Carl steel, one of the few businesses that have survived the recession. Most of his employees know him as Pop.
Jake Noveer is a resourceful and wilful PI with a good heart. Once working with the Braden PD, he started on his own to investigate a disappearance of a child. Braden PD is now helmed by Peter Trask, green but capable police chief who is friends with Jake and was his partner.
Garett Drimmer is a hard working and devoted single father and sits at the lowest paid position at Carl Steel. But the now responsible father was once a high school drop out and star of wild parties.
More book-smart than street-smart, Dannie Furlbee is the daughter of the richest man it town and school valedictorian. Dannie’s best friend Julie Gardner is savvy and quick with a joke but lives a little bit in Dannie’s shadow.
