Down a Dark Hall Movie Plot
Down a Dark Hall movie follows Kit a young girl who is out of control. So much so, that she has been suspended twice, arrested once, and attempted to burn up things in the last year. Unable to keep her in a normal school and environment, her parents have decided to ship her off to a remote boarding school as a last resort.
But Blackwood is no ordinary school. With its headmistress Madame Duret and handful of teaching staff, Kit realizes there are only a few other girls who are admitted to the school. The cook from the nearby town is forbidden from talking to the girls, and the doors to their rooms can be locked only from the outside.
To make matters worse the mansion has a past. Soon, the girls begins to experience weird things. In spite of having no knowledge of arts or literature, they manage to compose music, write books and do advanced maths.
Feeling recognized in ways they never did previously when they were considered “troubled,” the teens begin to assert themselves in new ways. In fact, their abilities do not belong to them at all — the girls have a connection to another realm they could never dream of.
Yet as Kit discovers the terrifying truth about the world they’ve walked into, Blackwood boarding school and Madame Duret’s malevolent intentions become a nightmare there may be no escape from.
