While we might see heroes in movies performing selfless acts every day, there are some among us who have the heart to do the same. Perhaps fictional stories do rub off on us and give us the courage to become real-life heroes. Once Upon a Christmas Miracle Movie Story
Once Upon a Christmas Miracle movie story revolves around Heather Krueger who has received a devastating diagnosis just before Christmas. Heather must find a liver donor if she hopes to survive through the next year.
She and her family begin the urgent search for a donor for Heather’s life-saving liver transplant. Heather faces incredible odds against finding a match but tries to enjoy her family’s annual holiday traditions as they wait for a miracle. When Chris Dempsey hears about her story, he selflessly gets tested and discovers he is a match.
After talking through his decision with his mother, Judy, Chris volunteers to donate half of his liver to give Heather a new lease on life, despite being a complete stranger. As Heather and Chris get to know one another and each other’s families before and after the transplant, they form a deep connection and begin to wonder if the closeness they feel goes beyond the special connection between organ donor and recipient.
While they will always be in each other’s lives, the two must decide if Chris’ selfless act was actually the beginning of a beautiful true love story.
