I can’t believe that the Spring Fever is over and the last of the fabulous Spring movies is here. Relationships are funny. Staying away often reminds us of the things that re most valuable to us, but sometimes realities of life weigh over those feelings and compel us to change our decisions. Susanna’s life turns upside down when her Marine boyfriend does the unexpected, in Once Upon a Prince movie on Hallmark this weekend.

Tracy Andreen adapts this romantic drama based on the book by Rachel Hauck, directed by Alexander JF Wright. The movie was filmed in Greater Victoria, with the beautiful Oak Tree scene at Taylor Road in Metchosin.

Once Up a Prince Movie Plot
Once Upon a Prince movie follows Susanna and Nate. Susanna (Megan Park) is a landscaper has waited years for her boyfriend to return to St. Simons Island from the Marines and now as they stroll on the beach, she’s sure he’s about to drop to one knee. Instead, he drops a bombshell, saying he’s not ready to marry.
Her day takes a turn for the worst when her tire bursts and she finds out that the jack is missing. Luckily, Nate helps her out with that and the two get talking. As they talk, they’re beneath the “Lover’s Oak,” a
majestic tree under which Susanna wistfully says she’s always dreamed she’d be proposed to with lights and a string quartet.
As they connect, Susanna is unaware that Nate actually is a Prince form Cambria. He can’t seem to shake of thoughts of Susanna and decides to meet her again with an excuse of landscaping. But Susanna’s father fall ill and Nate ends up helping her at the garden store. Their intimate, candid moments are caught on camera, and splashed across papers and Susanna finally finds out that he is a Prince.
Back in Cambria, Nate can’t forget Susanna. But his mother doesn’t approve of her and decides to invite her to show Nate how she is not the right fit. She is then made to stay in the servants dorm and work in the garden.
Susanna doesn’t know that Nate is unaware of all these developments. Will his mother’s behavior create a rift between them forever? Will Nate realize his mother’s plans and try to win over Susanna again? Watch Once Upon a Prince on Hallmark to find out.
