Mitelgi Lakshman Rekha serial story revolves around Kanchan and Vishesh. Living in Mathura Kanchan is from a simple, Indian middle-class family and has dreams and opinions of her own. Independent and the master of her beauty parlor, Kanchan is a staunch believer in equality and determined to put her past behind her.
In Vishesh she finds a man she can trust, a man who surprises at her every turn with his open mind and progressive views. Cutting across social and economical class lines, Vishes and Kanchan come close and hope for a bright future. But that will no be easy in a world where society puts invisible boundaries on movement of women, and imprisons their dreams.
