Manhunt Unabomber Story
Manhunt Unabomber tells the dramatic and gripping true story of the FBI’s hunt for the Unabomber, the deadliest serial bomber in history. The story focuses on FBI Agent and Criminal Profiler Jim “Fitz” Fitzgerald, who pioneered the use of forensic linguistics to identify and ultimately capture the Unabomber, Ted Kaczynski.
As a fresh faced Criminal Profiler and the newest member of the Unabom Task Force (UTF), Fitz faced an uphill battle not just against the Unabomber – one of the most sophisticated and brilliant criminals in history – but also against the bureaucracy of the UTF itself as his maverick ideas and new approaches were dismissed by the system.
A child prodigy, Ted was accepted to Harvard at the age of 16 and wet on to do his Ph.d in Mathematics. His love for Nature took him into the wilderness in the Northwest US. But as he witnessed large scale forest erosion, something snapped and he started threatening and sending mail bombs to various people between 1978 to 1995. He was finally caught in 1996 after a long and expensive investigation. This is his story.

Manhunt Unabomber Reviews
The new scripted TV show on Discovery based on one of the worst mail bombings of the last century has received favorable reviews overall. However, Maureen Ryan points out that the miniseries begins with Unabomber sitting in the jail and this robs the audience of the trill of chase and capture, though everyone knows that he was captured.
The Hollywood Reporter gives the scripted show above average rating and says it is encouraging enough for you to look forward to more in the Manhunt series in future. Allison Keene at Collider too agrees that the show is tight and fast paced to keep you engaged in the onscreen proceedings although you know how it is going to end.
