Force 2 | Review, Cast, Story, | 2016 New Hindi Movies

·

New Hindi movie Force 2  is scheduled to release on 18 November. After the success of Force, John Abraham joins hands with a new director once again to come up with a sequel to the Action movie. ACP Yashvardhan returned to his job after losing Maya to Vishnu. He refused to let the tragedy affect his first love, his job of crime fighting. In Force 2 he will get a new partner in our action-movie queen Sonakshi Sinha.

Force was appreciated by movie goers as well as critics. John Abraham’s last, Rocky Handsome, was an average action flick that didn’t go down too well, but he did see some success in the Action-Comedy Dishoom. Force 2 will, perhaps, be closer to Force than to Rocky Handsome. Force 2 team has also roped in the Mad Max: Fury Road team for action sequences and you can expect some high octane drama unfold on the screen.

Force 2 Cast

With much of the earlier team lost, Force 2 will sport some new characters in the movie. The new sequel will be directed by Abhinay Deo, who is also associated with Popular Indian version of the 24 TV series.

Force 2 Story

The first film in the Force franchise was a remake of a film from South, but this one will have an original script and focus as much on storytelling as action, says John Abraham. You will be the first to know more as we hear about it.

The first part ended with ACP Yashvardhan (John Abraham) losing his wife Maya (Genelia D’Souza) at the hands of Vishnu. The sequel is set for a new case and new set of enemies for ACP Yashvardhan to tackle.  Force 2 is also said to have been shot across India, Bangkok, and Budapest so you can expect ACP Yashvardhan track the dreaded criminals on an International scale and hop across continents.

And that is where our newest action star Sonakshi Sinha comes in as a RAW agent.

Force 2 Review

Force 2 begins with the killings of RAW agents in China and befuddled RAW officials in India. With this background we are introduced to the super powerful Yash.

Good action scenes an good cinematography will keep you interested in the movie. John Abraham looks wooden and grim, which suits his character. You can spot some weaknesses in dialogues, and the villain – Tahir Raj Bhasin – does not look menacing enough
Foreign locales and action directors ensure that fights and chases are closer to Hollywood movies. But Bollywood’s fetish for slo-mo in hand-to-hand combat leaves it ineffective. What is also a bit off is the use of video game angles and camera – like you see in Doom.
All the hue and cry about Sonakshi being Abraham’s equal in the movie is misplaced as she is reduced to be dumb management who is outwitted by a smart field agent and exists only to glorify Yashwardhan.
Force 2 has all the common spy movie tropes. But these good moments are ruined by cheesy dialogues like “ab hum gharme ghus kar marte hai“. And don’t miss the unintentional funny one liners like “Martinez baat nahi karta sirf text karta hai.”
The movie scores high on suspense as the motive behind the killings remains elusive through the intermission.
But in all the chase and mayhem, the killing of six agents looks unnecessary and had no bearing on antagonists’ true motive and actions.
Overall, the movie is tight enough to keep you engrossed and action movie fans will not find a lot to fault here.
