Our entrenched perception, reiterated through generations force a biased and skewed view of the society we live in. Shrill series on Hulu brings a new humorous take on coming-of-age story of a self proclaimed fat woman who refuses to bow down to these established perceptions.

The new comedy series about a plus size feminist is based on the popular memoir of Lindy West published a couple of years ago. A milder version of Girls, the series stars SNL’s Aidy Bryant, who also co-writes the series.

Shrill Series Plot
Shrill series follows Annie, a fat young woman who wants to change her life — but not her body. Annie is trying to start her career while juggling bad boyfriends, a sick parent, and a perfectionist boss.
Growing up in a culture that demands women to be compliant and sweet, and quiet, Annie comes across as an opinion woman. To top it all she is fat – not the kind that gets most respect, even when smart and intelligent that most of the male population or skinny females.
The series takes viewers through Annie’s journey and fight from being shy and compliant to having enough of it and break through the self-imposed silence.
