Waarrior Savitri Music Review
The album opens with a disastrous Shake My Booty song that you an forget immediately. The mundane beat rhythm along with poor lyrics have the potential to put you off and not return to the album ever. But if you stick with Param Gill for a little while, you might just find a couple of songs that you like. Jadon Teri Yaad is a like most of Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan songs and his fans won’t find anything wrong with this one. The song has very little new to offer, but will fit right into your Rahat Fateh ALi Khan playlist without upsetting the mood.
Night and Day starts with an interesting Guitar and mouth organ intro. The song is a perfect example of Indian Pop songs of the late 90s and is soothing to listen to. However, the lyrics do not do any justice to the song and kind of clash with the genre of the song.
Aanya sings Chahat Kee Barish in a silky, seductive tone and her voice will make you want to listen more of the song. The piano interlude complements the song well and this one has the potential to make it to the romantic numbers this year. But you can surely do without the last track – Heavy Heavy – which again fails to poor lyrics and banal composition.
MovieRecipe Verdict: A below average album with a couple of good songs.
MovieRecipe Pick: Chahat Kee Barish
