Abhay Deol is back after a long time in Happy Bhag Jayegi. His last release was in 2014 – One by Two – which didn’t do well at the Box Office. He is one of those actors who slide into their character quite naturally, and is a treat to watch. In Happy Bhag Jayegi, Abhay Deol seems to be in his element and looks like he is continuing the Oye Lucky Lucky Oye! persona in this movie. Mudassar Aziz seems to have given himself another shot at creating an Indian wedding drama, after his last attempt- Dulha Mil Gaya – bombed at the box office.

Happy Bhag Jayegi Story Synopsis
What is evident from the trailer is that Happy is a habitual runaway when it comes to her wedding day. Kind of reminds you of Julia Roberts' hit Runaway Bride. She has ditched Dhamman Singh Bagga (Jimmy Shergill) and wants to marry Guddu (Ali Fazal). But our Happy is in deep trouble, when she accidentally lands in Pakistan while escaping the prospect of getting married to Bagga. Here, she meets Bilal Ahmed (Abhay Deol). Who according to his father - Janab Senior - is bound to change the history of Pakistan. Bilal is smitten by happy Happy and decides to help her marry Guddu. And this creates a series of humorous situations where he tries to hide Happy from his father and at the same time help her get married to Guddu.

Happy Bhag Jayegi Movie Review
The initial reviews are in and we definitely have a situational comedy on our hands that is at least a one time watch. And I will say it surely is. The movie is fast paced and busy. It will keep you busy and engaged too. Although you won't roll on the floor with laughter,
Happy Bhag Jayegi manages to keep a smile on your face. The writer manages to crack some India-Pakistan jokes without any jingoistic slant and keeps all negativity out of the story. I wouldn't go as far as calling it a challenge to situational comedies like the original Golmaal or Angoor, but it is definitely a movie that you will enjoy watching. Apart form Dianna Penty, Momal Sheikh (Zoya) shines with her good performance in the movie as she communicates different shades of jealousy, doubt, and sorrow extremely well. The supporting cast is equally strong and good dialogues ensure that you can watch this one with your kids without giving it a second thought. I will say the movie is one of the best, clean entertainers of the year and definitely better than the likes of
Housefull 3. https://youtu.be/EDSg-CGwSkw
