the shallows movie review

Every time a I see a shark movie poster, I think of Jaws. The Jaws movie franchise was a super hit in the 70s and was equally thrilling. We have seen multiple shark attack movies and similar others like Piranha, which also came in 3D. Hollywood summer would be incomplete without a couple of camping horror movies and some disaster movies. But we have seen a steady decline in these and disaster movies in recent years. The Shallows is not a disaster movie. It is a thriller-survivor drama set in Mexico. Most of the movie is shot around the beach and has only a few characters. The film manly revolves around Nancy, the shark, and a seagull.

The Shallows Cast

The movie is directed by Jaume Collet-Sara. His last release – Run All Night – got average reviews, but did quite well at the Box Office.
