Sing movie is another underdog story, only this one comes with a backdrop of singing competition, no prizes for guessing it right there. The film will release in the US onJanuary 8 2017. The movie shows us a world of anthropomorphic animals living in an urban setting. At the center of this drama is a Koala Bear and a theater owner who is desperate to revive his fortune. And as he says,

Buster Moon a Koala Bear has hit rock bottom after putting all his father’s money in a theater and performing on stage. When the bank comes to possess his dream, he changes track and decides to hold a singing competition to revive his fortune.
But bad fortune doesn’t leave him alone and an honest mistake by his secretary announces the grand prize of the competition as $100,000 instead of one. What follows is a American Idol style season where you get people from all walks of life queuing for the competition and proving their worth. A housewife with marital problems, a son of gangster who wants to make a career in music, and teenagers wanting to get away from their parents.
With the competition making a big splash, Buster must now stand true to his advertisement and somehow scrape the $99,000 dollars that he doesn’t have.
Sing Movie Review
The movie was showcased at the 2016 Toronto Film Festival and has a thumbs up from almost all the critics. The maker of Despicable Me and Pets have done it again and gives audiences a musical that is funny, fast-paced, and complex, with each sub-plot converging at the end, says Peter Debruge.
With number of characters and hit songs, the movie will surely keep you entertained for the nearly two hours without boring you.
