Jab Harry Met Sejal Story
Jab Harry Met Sejal, of course, revolves around Harry and Sejal as they embark on the journey of their life. Sejal is engaged and Harry is not really looking for love. However, when Sejal comes around asking for his help to get back her engagement ring that she seems to have lost on her last tour to Europe, sparks fly.
Although reluctant and not hoping to find love, the two develop a deep bond while on their hunt for the ring. Will Sejal change her mind and embrace the promise of happy life? or will she stick to her promise and go ahead and marry her fiance.
Jab Harry Met Sejal Review
Jab Harry Met Sejal comes with beautiful sights from Europe. A simple story at the core, Imtiaz Ali and the two lead stars make this tale an exciting and engaging romantic movie. In what will remind viewers of SRK’s DDLJ, the movie raises some of the same issues and uses similar tropes to create a romantic tale that promises to be one of the best in recent times. Alas, it fails spectacularly.
The fun part of the movie is no fun. The jokes and the skirmishes fail to connect the audience to the lead couple. The director chooses to tell how Harry feels in his words rather than express the emotions through the onscreen proceedings. The first half is pretty disappointing.
The nonsense continues in the second half as the movie takes a predictable path and drags unrelentingly to the end in what can only be called an insufferable bore. Because you are never rooting for Harry and Sejal, you never feel the pain for sanskari Harry who lets her go back to her fiance.
Usually, ou get what you seek, but not in this movie.
If anything the movie shows us why Yash Chopra was a genius.
