Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi serial is a story of Suman who is a young widow. Nivedita Basu has said that the TV Show and the story shown will break many shackles and come across with a bold and progressive view. The serial has a strong supporting cast and its promo had created a lot of buzz before its launch in February 2017. The serial crew surprised the media at the launch event when the actors came up with the idea of coming out with a skit and essayed their roles in the serial through the skit.

Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi serial cast will see the return of Tassnim Sheikh who will come back on Television after a gap of nearly eight years. She plays the role of Suman’s mother-in-law in the serial. Tassnim has previously played negative roles in the hit TV serial Kyun Ki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Now as a Saans, she will be seen in a similar role in this new TV show.

Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi serial story begins with Suman who is shown living with her mother-in-law, set in Indore. Suman is a young widow and has lost her husband. But her mother-in-law is of liberal bent and asks Suman to go out, look for work and build her life then way she wants it. As time goes by, Suman finds a her soul mate in Ranveer (Abhishek Malik) and marries him. But she is not the only one joining the Mittal family. Suman is accompanied by her first mother-in-law in the new house and must now live with two saans under one roof.
