After success of Turkish and Ukrainian serials on Zee Zindagi, the channel is all set to spread its international net. Indian audiences will now get to see the superhit South Korean Drama Descendants of the Sun serial. The serial is a romantic drama with main characters played by Song Joong Ki, who is a special forces soldier and the surgeon Song Hye Kyo.

Written by Kim Eun-sook and Kim Won-seok, the drama was shot in Seoul and Greece. The success of the serial in South Korea has now encouraged the producers to make a sequel, which will be released in 2017.

Descendants of the Sun serial story revolves around a soldier and a surgeon. Si-Jin is a special forces captain and in pursuit of a thief, along with Dae-Young. While running the thief is injured and taken to the hospital. Si-Jin meets Mo-yeon here for the first time and falls in love. he continues to pursue her and they hit it off after a couple of dates. However, their professional differences and ethical and moral values keep them apart and stop their relationship from developing.
In the mean time, Sin-Jin is sent on a mission to a country away from Seoul. While Mo-Yeon misses him she has more troubles in her profession. After fending off sexual advances from her hospital superior, she is sent off to Urk, where Si-Jin is deployed. Here, they are forced to work together and their differences slowly erode and they fall in love once more. They decide to formalize their relationship as they return to Seoul after some time.
However, when things look to get better, Si-JIn is sent off again on another mission and disappears. presumed dead, Mo-Yeon mourns his death and is depressed. To shake off her depression, she decides to volunteer for a mission in Albania.
Will she ever meet Si-Jin again? Is he really dead or just missing in action?
