After being rescheduled multiple time in the last couple of months, the much awaited Bogan movie is set to release on 2nd February across theaters in India. The movie is complete entertainer with a lot of Action and a bit of humor. Prabhudeva’s involvement as a producer should give audiences some good music and dances as well.
The music for the movie is composed by D. Imman with a song by Aniruddh (Kolaveri Di) that has topped the charts in 2016. The movie also generated a lot of buzz after the writer was accused of plagiarism.

After success of Thani Oruvan in 2015, Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swamy once again join forces for this exciting new release. Written and Directed by Lakshaman, the movie is said to be inspired from the Hollywood movie Face-off starring John Travolta.

Bogan has been paraded as being inspired from Face-Off, from day one. But don’t let that bother you. The real twist in the story comes from its overtures in the fantasy lands. Who is Bogan? Bogan according to some scriptures is a saint with incredible powers. Adithya (Arvind Swamy) on of his expeditions with his professor comes in possession of a scripture that talks about advanced magic, that allows the bearer to do incredible things.
Seeing an opportunity, Adithya uses the magic spells in he book to put people under a spell and robbing them of their money and valuables. But things begin to change for Adithya when he uses his spell on Vikram’s father – a bank employee – and get his arrested with a lot of cash in his possession. Now it is up to Vikaram and his father to clear his name and bring out the truth.
Bogan Movie Reviews
The movie has taken a decent start and positive reviews are pouring in. The WOM is likely to propel the movie further up the charts and push occupancy in the later shows today.
Audiences found the movie engaging and have appreciated the screenplay. The movie doesn’t waste a lot of time early on and you are hooked to the proceedings on the screen in the first fifteen minutes. The on-screen chemistry between Jayam and Hansika is another highlight of the movie.
Arvind Swami’s performance as Adithya is the highlight of the movie and the hit pair of Jayam and Arvind Swami will not disappoint their fans. Both are given equal screen time and perform well.
The critics, however, seem to be split in their opinions. Overall the movie gets average rating from both the audiences and the critics.
