Wajah Tum Ho is a crime thriller set to release on December 2 2016. The movie is about a media baron who will go to any lengths to make profits. Maybe even commit murder live on TV. The movie revolves around three characters. Siya is caught between who believes that her boss will never do such a thing and her boyfriend and police officer who is sure that he is behind this live murder show. Wajah Tum Ho Music Review
The album opens with Wajah Tum Ho sung and composed by Mithoon amd Tulsi Kumar, which is the only original song in the movie and not bad at all. Not sure why the soundtrack composer/curator decided to ruin perfectly good songs when he had Mithoon making perfectly good compositions. The Lounge version opens with an interesting Sitar intro, but the first one has just the right pace and will have you humming the composition.
I like remixes, but only if they are good. Mahi Ve is too new to tinker with it. Moreover, Gourov Roshin kills the passion in the original high-pitched vocals by Richa Sharma. Listening to this song is torture if you are a fan of the original. Had to go back and listen to the original to cleanse from this dud song.
Dil Mein Chuupa Loonga is another disaster. A fast paced original song that captured the fun and playful sentiment of the song is reduced to a dull rhythm which completely alters the mood of the lyrics. The unnecessary echoes only add to the amateurish composition that you won’t expect from someone like Meet Bros.
MovieRecipe Verdict: With hardly anything new and poor remixes, Wajah Tum Ho is easily one of the most forgettable albums of this year.
