The Secrets She Keeps movie follows Amara as her drive to find a boyfriend at any cost lands he and her mother in mortal danger.
Amara is a sweet sixteen year old girl. When she and her mother move to a new place, adjusting to the place is a bit of a challenge. Her mother on the other hand finds the move more acceptable and soon also meets an amazing guy. Watching her mother having a boyfriend triggers jealousy and Amara decides to sign up to a dating app, although her mother warns her not to do that.
To Amara’s delight, she soon finds a boyfriend on the app. Shane seems like the man of her dreams. Slightly older, smart and charming, Amara is on cloud nine. But the initial rosy view of the relationship changes colors soon. Shane is very possessive and Amara realizes he is stalking them both all the time.
To confirm that it is Shane who is bothering them, Amara digs deeper into his past. The information that she finds confirms that Shane is not what he seems and that he is every mother’s worst nightmare.
Now Diane will have to use all her cunning and courage to outwit Shane and draw him away from their lives without putting themselves in danger.
