While the debate on whether leaders are born or made will perhaps never end, most influential persons appear to be born leaders. The people do not need management books, seminars, or life coaches to inspire their lot, because giving their best and demanding the best comes naturally to them. The Miracle Season Plot
The Miracle Season movie follows Caroline Four, or affectionately called Line by her teammates and friends. Line was a young woman with an infectious energy and love of life who brought people together and made them better.
She was the setter on the girls’ volleyball team, the Trojans, at Iowa City West High School, and so as team Captain, Line was the one to rally her teammates on and off the court during the games that drew their Iowa City community together.
But when Line was involved in a moped accident that took her the school was devastated. And when her mother lost the battle to cancer in just days after her death, the whole community plunged into despair.
But Caroline and her voice lived on with the team and her friend Kelley made sure that they gave the game their everything in Line’s memory. Her father showed up for every Trojan’s game to encourage the team.
With Line’s shoes placed under the chair she would’ve been sitting in, the Trojans began the 2011-2012 season.
What the Trojans did in that season after Line’s death was more than just keep playing; they won the State championship for a second year in a row, sowing friendship and good energy along the way. They continued to spread the enthusiasm and love Line never failed to share.
