The Loch Ness Legacy book is my firstof Tyler Locke. Dubbed an international thriller, it certainly provided some high stakes action and lots of adventure. The historical motif helped add some intrigue to this fast paced page turner. Although this is book number 4 in the Tyler Locke series, it was like reading the first one. I did not feel that I was coming in late or missing something – very hard to achieve in a series, and something a lot of books lack.

The Loch Ness Legacy Book Plot
Tyler Locke is an ex army operative who has founded a defense company. His company does forensic research like reconstructing disasters to find out how an attack was orchestrated. The story begins in the Eiffel tower where there is a summit of leaders from Muslim nations. An attack occurs but Tyler Locke and buddy Grant somehow manage to thwart it. Or so they think. The Paris event escalates tensions in the Middle East and war is imminent. Brielle is an ex Israeli agent turned private investigator who is also present at the scene.
A dangerous convict orchestrates a daring attack on a maximum security prison. Tyler’s sister Alexa is somehow pulled into the whole mess. Guests present at the Eiffel Tower summit are suddenly dropping dead, and a chemical weapon is suspected. Tyler and team race across the North West and Europe trying to find a solution. The Loch Ness legend surfaces and is intricately woven into the story.
The Loch Ness Legacy Book Review
It is really difficult to say more without revealing spoilers, and I would rather urge you to read the book. A comparison with Clive Cussler or Dirk Pitt may not be fair, but it seems inevitable. The overall formula is very similar, just toned down. The invincible hero, his staunch friend and sidekick, some family member, damsel in distress, some centuries old incident (in this case legend) that has a bearing on the present, high tech gadgets, unlimited funds at the hero’s disposal, and jet setting action, they are all present in The Loch Ness Legacy.
I will be the first to agree that Dirk Pitt has sort of lived out his life as a character and grown old. Although I would love it if Clive Cussler wrote a book that starred a younger Dirk Pitt in an earlier timeline, the literary world certainly has enough room for another hero. Boyd Morrison’s profile is interesting with a stint at NASA, a PHD in engineering and a long list of patents. We can certainly expect a lot of high voltage action and absorbing plots from him in the future.
No surprise that I am all for The Loch Ness Legacy book. This is a super thrilling page turner for fans of adventure with just enough of seemingly impossible elements with the whole Loch Ness thing. Wholeheartedly recommended for all book lovers!
