The Gryphon series on Amazon Prime is the new German original that will debut worldwide this May. The Fantasy series is based on a novel that has a cult following worldwide.
Mark, Memo and Becky are about to step into adulthood and are overwhelmed with the prospect. But as if that was not enough they now stumble into the fantasy world of Black Tower.
But the world is in chaos and is nearing its end with the monstrous Griffin subjugating its people and devouring it for centuries. Mark is the only one who can defeat it. But he’s no hero and doesn’t want to be one. He has enough to do with school, his tantrums and his first love. Fighting monsters is out of the question. But when Mark’s brother Thomas disappears, the friends have to set off into this fantastic world and face the danger.
It is now up to these three outsiders to stop the Griffin and save this fantastical world before it is lost for ever.
The first season of the Fantasy drama comes with six episodes. Erol Yesilkaya writes the story for the series based on the novel by Wolfgang Hohlbein. Sebastian Marka directs the series with his fresh take of the novel in the adaptation.
Jeremias Meyer plays Mark with Zoran Pingel as Memo and Lea Drinda as Becky.
