Summer means many things. Vacations for kids, loads of reading time for books lovers, some outdoor fun by the beach, and also lots of fresh food and barbecues for food lovers. But for Sous-Chef Gabby, this year, it means coming face-to-face again with school baseball hero Caleb and his eatery, in A Taste of Summer movie on Hallmark this week.

A Taste of Summer Movie Plot
A Taste of Summer movie follows sous-chef Gabby and former school baseball star Caleb as they are pitted against each other in food business.
Gabby leaves a posh Manhattan eatery and her noncommittal boyfriend to open her own restaurant in New England. But before she makes the leap, Gabby checks out the local competition, Delaney’s Coastal Grille, owned by handsome Caleb.
A former high school baseball star, Caleb still has a competitive streak and he warns Gabby how hard the restaurant business is. Graduating top of her class from culinary school, Gabby is undaunted and their restaurant war begins.
Knowing she must make a big splash, Gabby enters the Taste of Summer Festival where the grand prize is $10,000 and write-ups in the Massachusetts Food Journal. With the winner of the Taste of Summer yet to be determined, competitiveness is still in the air, but now it might just be mixed with a hint of romance.
