Summer of Rockets TV Series Plot
Summer of Rockets series centres around a family that gradually gets caught up in the tensions of the Cold War. We follow Samuel Petrukhin, who finds himself caught up with the Secret Service and involved in the mystery which he has to try to solve.
Samuel is a Russian born Jewish businessman and his firm is entangled in a scandal. Involved in invention of the pager, he is pulled into an investigation that accuses of him being instrumental in bugging hearing aid of Winston Churchill.
At the same time, Hannah, his daughter, is desperately trying to find her own identity and having to do this grizzly season. Sacha, the little boy, is sent off to autere and frightening boarding school.
Following the Soviet’s launch the first intercontinental ballistic missile, and the start of the Space Race, fear permeates the lives of all.

Episode 1
1957. The Petrukhin family attend the Goodwood races where they meet Kathleen and Richard Shaw MP. A few months later, Sasha is preparing to go to Downham House boarding school. His 17 year-old sister Hannah is soon to be presented as a debutant to the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
Samuel and his colleague Courtney become suspicious when they realise they are constantly being followed by several men as they attend hearing aid fittings.
Episode 2
Samuel finally meets the men who have been following him – Denning and Mr. Field – who claim to be from MI5 and say they are interested in his staff locater invention.
