Sucks’S Story – Actors Life Story of Struggle and Success
Director: Manish Singh
Music / Sound: Gandhaar-Nihar / Hitesh Chaurasia
Editor: Shivdeep Tiwari
Cinematographer: MadhavRaj Datar
Actors: Sundeep Hemnaoni, Anurita Jha, Govind Pathak, Sushobhit Jha, Vikram Vaswani
The short film opens with a struggling actor reading an autobiography of an actor who is a recent success. Why? To get inspired by his struggle and keep fighting another day. The movie then takes a satirical take on the statements and assertions of the young actor and what has most likely happened and contributed to his success there.
The movie shows that in an attempt to glorify successes in the film industry, where ‘being outsider’ is a badge that everyone wants – except, of course, the one who is really on the outside – how one statement about struggle and eventual successes inspired thousands to pack their bags and travel to Mumbai.
The short film ends on the right note, urging people who have made it to not glorify the struggle and paint an honest picture.
