I would love to have a good, hearty breakfast every day, but who’s got the time to make gourmet meals in the rush hour? Breakfast is the most important meal. More so if you get out of the house early and lunch always seems to be too far off. Oatmeal is good and healthy, but you can feel hungry in a couple of hours if that is the only thing you eat in the morning.

Adding milk and cheese to your breakfast can give just the right amount of protein you need to be at the top your game until the lunch hour comes. I like desserts, but mostly after my meals. I have never been a fan of sweet tasting breakfast. And although fruit based oatmeal recipes are great, I think I will always lean toward savory ones, when it comes to breakfast. As promised, this is a very simple and easy recipe with a savory flavor profile.
You can make it more healthy by adding a few veggies if you like. Just drop a handful from your frozen veggies bag and saute them before you add the rest of the ingredients. But this is an easy recipe, and I have tried to keep it that way. Quick and flavorful.
Savory Curry Oatmeal Ingredients

1/2 tsp curry powder
Fresh coriander (Optional)
Salt to taste

How to Make Savory Curry Oatmeal with Cheese
1. Mix all the ingredients in a heavy bottom pot
2. Heat the pot on medium for 5-10 min. Stir intermittently to check that it does not stick to the pot bottom
3. Serve with a crispy toast or crackers
Oatmeal is so versatile. You can think of number of recipes and ways you can make interesting breakfast recipe. I am already thinking of adding the flavorful, spicy Goan Sausage to this to make it more interesting.
