Most of us believe in doing the right thing and think of doing good unto others. However, when conditions begin to go south, even the people you think you know throw up surprising arguments and make irrational decisions. Safe Harbour series on Hulu brings a tale that seems appropriate for the times, as it follows a group of Australian sailors on a vacation, faced with a critical decision.

The Thriller-Drama was released earlier this year on SBS in Australia and already has a second season in the works. The series was filmed in Brisbane and directed by Glendyn Ivin with an ensemble cast.

Safe Harbour Series Plot
Safe Harbour series follows a group of sailors as they set out on vacation from Darwin toward Indonesia. On theyr journey they come across a boat full of refugees who want to reach Australian shores, but are stuck because their fishing boat is broken down.
The sailors decide to help the people on the fateful boat and tow them to the shores. However, when they wake up the next morning, they find the boat gone.
Years later, they meet some of the people on that boat again and find that some of the people on that boat died, when it sank that night after one of the sailors cut the rope. Now, with the refugees trying to get justice for themselves, and the sailors trying to protect themselves, the group friends sees a wedge emerging among them.
With old secrets coming to light, and mistrust ruling the once friendly group, lives are put in danger and the question, ‘Who cut the Rope?’, haunts them all.
