Although Spring seems elusive to many on the East Coast, this week’s Hallmark Channel romance promises to give you the much needed warmth. Kate is on a mission to help hearts meet and give everyone of her clients a happily-ever-after. But when the king of Voldavia asks for help, it is more about business, in Royal Matchmaker movie this week.
Royal Matchmaker Movie Story
‘Royal Matchmaker’ follows Kate Gleason who is so good at bringing soul mates together she’s been dubbed the “Queen of Hearts” and after years at a large firm, she’s branched out on her own. While things are slow at first, word has been spreading and one day King Edward of Voldavia calls to enlist Kate’s help to find a match for his son Prince Sebastian.
While Kate believes in a “happily-ever-after” for just about everyone, even though she’s yet to find one for herself, Prince Sebastian is skeptical. Having grown up in the public eye, he’s built a moat around his heart and his valet Victor (Joseph Thompson) is the only one he trusts. And Kate is determined to break down the Prince’s armor and get to know him, even though he maintains true love is just a fairytale.
On a mission, Kate follows the prince around and even helps Victor find a suitable match when she sees a spark between him and the woman who rune the town center. However, Sebastian has yet to fall for any of the candidates she’s chosen, and Kate is glad to see that at least she can still spot a good match. Truth be told, Kate isn’t too upset the Prince hasn’t felt butterflies for anyone, because that’s what she’s been feeling for him. But still bent on doing her job, Kate introduces Sebastian to Petra (Eva Trill), her top match, and is heartbroken when they appear to click.
