The Rookie TV Show Plot
The Rookie TV show follows John Nolan as he is starting over. It isn’t easy, especially for small-town guy who, after a life-altering incident, has decided to pursue his life-long dream of being an LAPD officer. As the force’s oldest rookie, skepticism haunts him at every step. Some higher-ups see him as just a walking midlife crisis who is more of a threat than an asset.
If Nolan fails to keep up with the young cops and the criminals, he’ll risk everyone’s lives including his own. But they also think that if he can use his life experience, determination and sense of humor, he may just become a success in this new chapter of his life.

The Rookie TV Show Review
The Rookie is a cop drama that chronicles the day-to-day functioning of the police department in LA through the eyes of the rookie class of three. As the three try to adjust to the new life, they are also dealing with their own ambitions and problems. The 40 odd minutes are engaging as we swiftly move from one incident to the next. There is no case resolution, or background and rarely any mystery.
The series also doesn’t seem to have an engaging overarching story. With this each episodes is set to be more of the same thing and may not hold your attention for long. As of now, the series doesn’t seem like something you would want to drop something else to watch. It is not a bad choice if you just want to lounge in front of the TV though.

Talia forces Nolan to confront his personal moral instincts to be a good cop after he encounters a abduction victim. Meanwhile, Lucy is temporarily placed with a new training officer who tests her patience, and Jackson must confront his failures head-on if he wants to be an officer.
Episode 3
After Nolan and Talia lose control of a crime scene, they begin to debate whether people are fundamentally good or bad and what that means for a police officer. Meanwhile, Lucy is concerned Tim is enabling his wife’s destructive behavior and not taking care of himself.
