Butterfly TV Series Plot
Butterfly TV series follows Max who sees himself as a girl but has tried to suppress these feelings in an attempt to earn his father, Stephen’s approval.
When Max’s emotions become increasingly stressful, Stephen seizes the chance to come back and live at the family home, hoping to work up some male bonding and prove himself to Vicky. The events that unfold prove to be the greatest challenge and test of love and understanding. The social transformation of Max to Maxine is early on thwarted because of the clear difference of opinion between Vicky and Stephen.
Despite being on the cusp of puberty, Maxine grows in confidence and becomes more certain that she’s in the right skin – will this be enough to get all on board? The two parents want to shield Maxine but are completely divided on the best solution. Stephen is still hanging on to the idea that it’s a passing thing and resists taking a leap with the following emotional turmoil, if it isn’t ultimately going to be followed through. But for Vicky, it’s about ensuring that Maxine’s mental well-being is intact at all costs.
Butterfly TV series adopts this story of a three-generational family and shows the truly extraordinary demands made by everyone in the family.
