Road to Christmas Movie Plot
Road to Christmas movie follows Maggie Baker, a TV producer and Julie, the networks star cooking show host. The movie begins in LA, California with Maggie planning a Christmas special with Julia Wise Lifestyle show that airs on the network. Her idea of the live show is exciting but not many believe that it can work in the last two weeks remaining.
Julia low on confidence asks her producer son Danny to weave in some old footage for the show and make things easy. And although not happy with Danny’s arrival, Maggie goes along with her own twist. She convinces Danny to go on a road trip to New England where Julia will record her show. On the way she has plans to capture Christmas traditions across the US. But her real objective is to gather Danny’s brothers and bring them all together for the show and Christmas, something the haven’t done in decades.
With the intensity growing stronger between Maggie and Danny, they arrive in Vermont for the live show and Maggie is crushed when she learns Danny won’t return next year. As the broadcast is ready to start, they lose power and Julia is forced to go live without the teleprompter. But that’s not the only unscripted moment in the show and Julia is soon given the surprise of her life, leaving her speechless. It’s in that moment that Maggie is reminded that above all, it’s the love you have for your family and friends that makes for the merriest Christmas.

Road to Christmas Movie Review
I was hoping a bit more of the road trip in this one. This movie takes multiples hops and is slightly different from most of the the other Hallmark holiday movies. Different, in a good way. With Maggie trying hard to bring the brothers together, this one of a kind story brings plenty of holiday cheer. Watch this Hallmark gem with a big bowl of popcorn and maybe some mulled wine or cider. You are going to love it!
