Ok Jaanu will be the first romantic-comedy 2017. The movie story looks very similar to Befikre, only this one is set in India, instead of France. The movie surely has a tough competition with Befikre, which was an enjoyable movie if you leave aside the end of the movie. Befikre music too was quite catchy and we hope to get same from Ok Jaanu. Ok Jaanu Music Review
The three tracks released until now are a mixed bag. A remixed Hamma Hamma joins the many remixed songs that have gone wrong in 2016. The new track unfortunately feels the necessity to add Rap interludes that are increasingly getting unbearable. With the exception of new deep bass rhythms, the song doesn’t seem to get anything right. Laila Mai Laila from Raees seems to be the only remixed song that has gotten it right recently.
Ok Jaanu seems very similar to A. R. Rahaman’s some previous composition. Can’t place it right now but it sounds too familiar. Or you could say that the song has a signature A. R. Rahman touch. It will surely grow on you when you listen to it a couple of times.
Enna Sona seems like a contemporary music composition that fits well into the movie theme. The minimal use of instruments put Arijit Singh’s vocals in the front and his fans will like that. However, the song doesn’t seem hummable.
