My Father Iqbal Music Review
The short album comes across as a decent album. There is not a lot to sit up and take notice. At the same time, the songs are melodious enough for you to play the album end-to-end. Having a complete album that you can let run without skipping is itself a big win when it comes to Bollywood music.
Tere Naina,
Dil Mera is something you can call a stock song that banks on a basic, traditional beat rhythm. The song uses lyrics that are a mix of Hindi and Punjabi that kind of gels with the setting of the movie. Rang Gul attempts to capture the local flavor of Jammu and Kashmir with sounds of mandolin, but that is the only thing that it connects with the state.
Waqt-e-Fursat is composed in the style of pop- Ghazal genre and uses strings like some of the early Ghazals sung by Jagjit Singh. Aman Trikha sings the song beautifully and is something you will want to put on your playlist to listen when in a slightly melancholic mood. The same track is also sung by Anamika Chaudhary and Uvie Singer. Uvie Singer's track is a bit more dramatic with addition of chorus and symphonic background, but his voice surely adds depth to the track.
MovieRecipe Verdict:
My Father Iqbal music album, essentially has just three songs, but may offer good value depending on the way it is priced.

Waqt-e-Fursat (Uvie Singer) Lyrics
Waqt-e-fursat me mera saamne woh khubaroo hogi,
Waqt-e-fursat me mera saamne woh khubaroo hogi,
Gulon ke saaye honge aur zindagi ru-ba-ru hogi,
Gulon ke saaye honge aur zindagi ru-ba-ru hogi; Aalam-e-vasl me khamosh honge lab shikayati,
Aalam-e-vasl me khamosh honge lab shikayati,
Aankho Aankho me sari Ishq ki guftagu hogi,
Aankho Aankho me sari Ishq ki guftagu hogi; Waqt-e-fursat me mera saamne woh khubaroo hogi; Bhale ta umra khud se ajnabee sa main raha hoon,
Bhale ta umra khud se ajnabee sa main raha hoon,
Magar mujhko yakin hai charcha meri khu ba ku hogi,
Magar mujhko yakin hai charcha meri khu ba ku hogi; Waqt-e-fursat me mera saamne woh khubaroo hogi; Ataa ki zindagi to jeene ke lamhe bhi deta,
Ataa ki zindagi to jeene ke lamhe bhi deta,
Milenge jab bhi hum rabse shikayat hu-ba-hu hogi,
Milenge jab bhi hum rabse shikayat hu-ba-hu hogi; Waqt-e-fursat me mera saamne woh khubaroo hogi,
Gulon ke saaye honge aur zindagi ru-ba-ru hogi,
Waqt-e-fursat me mera saamne woh khubaroo hogi.
