This week we have three good movie releasing at the box office, and it is tough choice to make for movie lovers. However, Mubarakan doesn’t really compete with the other two and is a complete Bollywood entertainer. Mubarakan, set in London, tells the story of two brothers who want to marry the women they love, but are stuck with constant interference form their extended family. However, they are hesitant to go against the family head and are now caught in a problem where their family wants them to marry to different women.

I went into the movie expecting it to be a fun filled couple of hours and the movie doesn’t disappoint you. It touches upon all the typical Punjabi tropes that we are used to see in the moves like, Mitti Ki Khusboo, and sarason ke khet, a whiskey guzzler and so on. But it also comes up with new, timely humorous props like “Izzat Ka Falooda” written on a falooda vendor’s cart.
Apart from the veteran actors, the new ones too look comfortable in their roles and give a flawless performance. Chaos rules through the movie and assures that you have a smile on your faces throughout.
Over the top drama, fast pace, great comic timing and fresh jokes makes Mubarakan a complete family etertainer that it promises to be.
