Action, Romance and Dram. Audience get to choose the movie of their liking in January. With Kaabil and Raees all set to clash by releasing the same week, you will have to push one for later. Unless, of course, you don’t mind going to the theaters twice in the week to watch you favorite stars.
OK Jaanu
OK Jaanu is a contemporary romance story where two young Mumbai residents decide to experiment with a live-in relationship before heading out to take on the world. The movie seems very much like Befikre and explores the age old question of choosing between a career and people you love.
Haraamkhor
Nawazuddin plays the lead role in the rural drama set in a town in Madhya Pradesh . Haraamkhor explores the life of a tuition teacher, his infidelity and exploitation of his young student, who thinks that the man is in love with her. What adds a bit of humor to this dark movie is the girl student’s classmate who is infatuated by her and his friend as they try to woo her.
Kaabil
After a bit of a damp response to Mohenjo Daro, Hritik Roshan must be looking forward to response of his fans in Kaabil. A revenge-drama, the star plays the role of a blind man, who is in love with Sue. Sue too is visually impaired. When a few goons violate Sue thinking the two could not retaliate because of their handicap, Rohan embarks on a mission to avenge the crime.
Raees
Raees Alam is bootlegger operating in Gujarat in the 80s, when the prohibition of liquor was implemented. The only thing he believes in is money. Things matter only if they are in any way connected to his business. But his biggest enemy is the inspector played by Nawazuddin Siddique. If this cat and mouse game be interesting enough remains to be seen when Raees releases on 25th January.
