Mortal Mishaps Movie Plot
Mortal Mishaps movie follows Billie Blessings as she tries to exonerate herself from a murder investigation when her show producer dies in the middle of a speech. Billie is known to have some beef with the producer, who wants Billie to find a new co-host for her show.
When Rudy dies of cyanide poisoning in Billie’s restaurant, all eyes are on Billie and she becomes the primary suspect. The lead investigator on the case is Billie’s father’s good friend, but when all evidence begins to point toward Billie, he too begins to doubt her intentions.
Ian wants to believe that Billie had nothing to do with the murder but when her restaurant’s chef, Maurice Terrebone, shows up on security camera footage delivering the very cake that killed the man, he is taken in for questioning. Absolutely certain that Maurice would never kill anyone, Billie enlists the help of a couple of her colleagues from the station to help her look for clues. Soon, Billie has helped prove to Jackson and his partner that Maurice is innocent, and he is freed.
However, the evidence seems to point more and more to Billie, and now she is going to have to piece together all the details of the murder and identify the killer in order to prove her own innocence.
Warned by Jackson not to incriminate herself further by snooping around, Billie cannot stand by idly, especially as she is certain she is being framed for the murder. But the closer she gets to the truth, the greater the danger in which she finds herself until a final showdown with the killer puts Billie on the wrong end of a loaded gun.
