The story of Meri Durga serial revolves around Yashal Choudhary and his daughter Durga. Durga is a young school girl engrossed in her own world and happy to play with her friends and while away time. But her father has dreams for her. He has always wanted her daughter to be bolder, smarter, and sees her as an achiever. He hopes that someday she will become a high-ranking government officer and do good for the people.
His ambitions often put him in positions where he is at odds with his community and his brother, who do not agree with her views of treating his daughters and sons at par. But he is ready fight this fight. What he cannot seem to fight is his daughter’s inability to excel at school work. Her lack of interest in studies is a challenge that has Yashpal seems at a loss to overcome.
Durga, however, excels at athletics. She can run better and faster than most kids in her class and all the boys around her. The story follows the story of this untrained, budding athlete. Will Durga run to become a sports icon? Will she be forced to study at school and do things that do not come to her naturally.
