Marrying Mr. Darcy movie begins six months after school teacher Elizabeth met Donovan Darcy first time at a dog show. Fate has since conspired to bring them together many time, with a bit of help from their friends and they no longer have any reservations about each other.
The couple now residing in New York, across from each other, have a lot more time to spend together. So when Donovan finally proposes marriage, everyone around them is thrilled and ready to push them into matrimony. Even Donovan’s aunt who did not approve of Elizabeth is keen to mend fences and help the couple in getting the wedding right and suitable for the Darcy family name.
Elizabeth wants a small garden wedding, but not wanting to alienate Donovan’s aunt, agrees to go for the big church wedding. However, all the planning for a big formal event and a society wedding, Elizabeth begins to doubt if she is a good match and worthy of becoming Mrs Darcy. With Donovan busy in work and available less, it all seems a bit too much to handle.
