It is the season of Runaway Brides. Bollywood has inspired many of us in doing different things. And so have Bollywood Runaway brides. Are Katrina Kaif or Parineeti Chopra, running away from an unwanted marriage the only recourse for an Indian bride? Well, it is not that bad an option. Surely, beats ending your life!
And that is what Preeti has decided. To hell with ‘Parampara’. Life is too valuable and too short to give up precious time hoping you could hammer some sense into the idiot on the high Ghodi. But is there really a choice? You very well know how it can go – “Asmaan se gira aur khajoor par atka”.
An overconfident, dumbass riding the high horse may not be the best choice to hookup for life, but then is an insecure, awkward twit any better? Preeti is about to find out. You know what to do, don’t you? When there is no clear road ahead and you feel directionless? Yeah. Get a bunch of Selfies and tell the world what a blast you are having.
But as the rush of running away wanes and melancholy sets in, the realities of your actions dawn. It gives birth to some important questions and the doubts that you were running away from, resurface. Preeti might just find the perfect guy, or she might decide to compromise later for worse, who knows what lies ahead.
Jaiveer, a geeky software developer, who loves to call himself Javier (Haa-vee-air) has lost his job and also his phone. After being dumped by a girl who he thought was his girlfriend – but never was – he meets Preeti. Well you know what happens next. He falls in love with her!
So who would you want Preeti to choose? Tinkeshwar on the high ghodi or find unexpected love with our local Haaveair? Choice is a funny thing, isn’t it. Most of us want to believe in free will. But many a time, the choice is just an illusion that clears at the worst of times.
Lost & Found on SonyLIV is the network’s Signature Series that throws all these questions when Preeti runs from her wedding and meets the boy of her dreams. Wouldn’t you want that to happen. But real life is not a Bollywood Rom-Com. Or maybe she will find happiness with this geek. Here, take a look at this first episode of the funny series directed by Kaizad Gustad.
