Living Biblically TV Show Plot

Living Biblically TV Show revolves around Chip Curry, a modern day man at a crossroads in his life, who decides to live strictly in accordance with the Bible. A film critic for a New York Newspaper and a soon-to-be father, Chip wants to be a better man following the loss of his best friend.

He decides to put his slightly obsessive temperament to use and start living his life 100% by the Bible to find direction. His smart, pregnant wife, Leslie, while both skeptical and entertained by her husband’s new passion, supports him completely.

Knowing he’ll need some practical advice, Chip forms a “God Squad” with Father Gene, a Catholic Priest who helps Chip translate the rules of the Bible to a modern world; and Father Gene’s best friend, easygoing Rabbi Gil Abelman, who respects Chip’s chutzpah and is glad to serve as a sounding board when they meet at their local bar.

At Chip’s newspaper, he finds support from his no-nonsense boss, Ms. Meadows, who knows Chip’s self-penned story will sell newspapers, and his co-worker and friend, Vince, who is quick with a reality check and likes to wind Chip up for his own amusement.

As he begins his sincere spiritual journey toward a more moral life with the help of his wife and friends, Chip wonders if he’ll be able to take a page – or every page – out of the Good Book, and if the effect will be of Biblical proportions.

Living Biblically Review

Chip Curry is a movie reviewer married to a nurse. He is grieving over the untimely death of his friend when he learns he is about to be a father. He decides to mend his ways and start living by the holy book. His priest is roped in on speed dial, along with a rabbi who agrees to be his sounding board. Chip’s wife supports him in all this, by the way. She’s just happy she’s about to become a Mama. Another person who cashes in on this idea is Chip’s boss. She asks him to write a day by day account of how it feels to ‘live Biblically’.

The first episode gave us the adequate background and set the tone. Dialogues provide a few laughs but are predictable, as is Chip’s coworker sidekick. The concept of a priest and rabbi sitting at a bar is obviously supposed to produce many laughs. The first episode showed Chip dressed in an all white ensemble so that he could wear only one kind of thread. I guess we’ll be seeing his interpretation of different things. At one time, he even chucks a stone at an adulterous coworker, because the Bible told him to.

Living Biblically TV Show is worth watching for at least a few episodes. Chip’s shenanigans are all set to make us laugh at something different for a change. And that’s saying a lot.
