Left for Dead – The Ashley Reeves story movie is a true crime adaptation of the horrible night that Ashley survived in the woods in April 2006.
Ashley was an excellent student, a happy kid, and had a steady boyfriend. But life was about to change for this 17 year old with events that she could have never imagined.
On one summer afternoon Ashely left her parents’ house for a job interview appointment in a town some miles away in her boyfriend’s SUV. When she doe not return for hours, her parents begin a frantic search for their daughter.
Even as police fail to gain any early leads, her friends and family continue desperate search. Soon a lead about Ashley being romantically involved with an older man emerges.
The police eventually find her nearly 30 hours after she is found missing. Gravely wounded, lying in the dirt, and paralyzed, the police find her alive in the woods.
Her injuries are so severe that she must re-learn how to walk and talk. With no memory of what happened, she begins a long and painful recovery while searching her shattered memory to unlock the mystery of who did this to her.
