Katla is the latest North European original from Netflix that promises to bring you a thrilling sci-fi drama on June. Set in Iceland, the series comes with a blend of some mystery and the thrill to escape the disastrous outcome of a volcanic event.
What is Netflix Katla Series About?
Katla series follows the people of a small town in the vicinity of a dormant volcano that suddenly erupts and unleashes an unseen terror.
We visit Vik, a small town near volcano Katla, a year after its last eruption. Since the eruption, the heat from the volcano has melted the ice caps. The people living is Vik are disturbed by the events and begin evacuating the town in anticipation of a bigger disaster.
However, what they do not know is that the melting of ice has a lot more surprises in store. The town, in spite of its grand location, now bears an apocalyptic look. The few who have stayed back, help each other tide over this time.
But their life is about to take a turn for the worse as mysterious pre-historic monsters and organisms that we deeply frozen are coming back to life. No matter what their preparedness is, the world is not ready for what’s waiting for them.
