ALLBLK streaming service brings exciting new Legal Drama, Judge Me Not, that is loosely inspired by famous judge Judge Lynn Toler.
The series follows Zelma Jay Johnson who rises through the legal ranks to become a judge at the young age of 31. However, the young Black woman also fights with her own mental issues even as she fights the world for her rightful place.
The series picks up from a time when Zelma has pretty much achieved her goals. She has been elected to a judicial position she has been aiming for ever. But at the same time her life is full of personal challenges that are hidden from the public glare.
Her relationship with her live-in boyfriend is rocky, at best. She finds her life a perfect candidate for a psychological thriller and sees herself trapped in this edgy thriller. Can she find and fight a way out of this complex trap?
Chyna Lane plays Zelma with Javon Terell, Terrence Green, and Jonathan Chase. Judge Lynn Toler creates the series. She says, “(the series) presents you with that world through the eyes of a woman who’s not so regular herself.”
