After a lot of troubled history and attempts to find a new home for the show, Heathers TV show is now ready to begin on the Paramount Network. An adaptation of the 80s movie, the new series is a dark comedy set in high school. The series follows a group of popular girls who would go to any lengths to become popular, and the kids at the receiving end who either plunge into depression or lash out costing lives either way.

Leslye Headland directs the remake of the series with the Shannen Doherty from the original cast making an appearance in the new series. Heathers premieres on Paramount this week.

Heathers TV show is set in the current times and centers around popular but simple girl Veronica Sawyer, who faces-off with a very different but equally vicious group of Heathers. Heathers is a small group of boys and girls, each named Heather. Heather Chandler is the unusual leader of this popular high school close-knit group and rules over Westerburg High through intimidation, fear and a envious fashion sense.
Heather Duke is Heather C’s #1 pet and drawn on the Heather’s power to eradicate whoever he thinks is a total discount hobgoblin. Heather McNamara comes across as the nicest Heather in the clique and mostly lives in the shadow of the rest. She’s harboring a dark secret that she does not want to become public.
JD Dean is the new guy in town with a secretive, dark side and embarks on a reckless path of destruction showing that no one, even his girlfriend Veronica is safe.
