Style is very personal and unique to every person and mood. Blender’s Pride understands this and that has been the theme of Blender’s Pride Magical Nights this year. This sentiment is echoed in their tag line for the year, Style: More Than You Think. Last year it was Shivan and Naresh along with Pune’s Balalaika band who brought exquisite outfits and foot tapping music together for fashion enthusiasts at the Poona Club. For Blender’s Pride Magical Nights 2017 Pune’s residents got to experience and see new exclusive designs from Vikram Phadnis and were entertained by Mumbai’s Daira.
With alternative Rock compositions, the band presented an electric performance with Deep Purple’s Smoke on the Water, which was augmented by sounds of saxophone that added another dimension to the all time classic.
Style connoisseurs were treated with Vilvin Sabu’s all-white wedding gowns that were elegant and studded with white embroidery work.
But the star of the event were the designs by Vikram Phadnis who blended the contemporary with the traditional with his many creations.
The designs that included pastel shades of pinks, blues, greens and beige were a mix of Lehengas, Sarees, and traditional Indian wedding dresses. The designs combined the soft colors of flowing gowns with intricate embroidery and Zardosi to bring the festive feel.
Mixing the moderns with the traditional the designs combined pants with Saree drapes and Lehengas, the designer wowed the audience with his wedding designs.
Neha Duphia also graced the ramp in a stunning metallic skirt with a beaded black jacket. On the occasion the actress and model said, “Blender’s Pride Magical Nights is an iconic platform where style is redefined every year. The core theme of Style: More than You Think resonates with the evolution of my personal style which has been shaped by my trysts with theatre, fashion and Bollywood. I am thrilled to walk the ramp tonight and celebrate Style”
