21 Jump Street (2012)
In 2005, scholarly student Morton Schmidt and popular underachieving jock Greg Jenko\miss their school prom. Seven years later, the duo meets again at the Police Academy and become friends and partners on bicycle patrol. Now assigned to catch a drug dealer, the two go nder cover to school and get another chance to attend prom.
Not Another Teen Movie (2001)
Attractive Priscilla, a popular cheerleader, separates from her talented football star but slacker boyfriend, Jake Wyler. Jake soon discovers that Priscilla is now dating timid and weird Les just to spite him. To avenge this insult, Kake’s friend Austin suggests turning Janey Briggs, a uniquely rebellious girl, into the prom queen. This one is no doubt one of the best prom movies to watch this month.
Carrie (2013)
Tired of all goody-goody movies? Here’s one from Stephen King to make Prom more interesting. Being mean may be a part of making your mark at school, but you never know what someone might be hiding. A shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother uses her telekinetic powers with devastating effect after being a victim of a cruel prank at her senior prom. Prom Night (2008)
A high school girl named Donna Keppel is traumatized after witnessing her former teacher, Richard Fenton, brutally murder her entire family after he had become dangerously obsessed with her.
Three years later, as Donna gets ready for her senior prom, Fenton escapes from custody, follows her to the hotel hosting the prom, and kills anybody who gets in the way of his reunion with Donna.
Prom (2011)
It’s time for the annual prom. Nova Prescott is on the prom committee with her friends Mei, Ali, Brandon and Rolo. They made all of the decorations and are finally prepared. But none of them are sure of their partners or if they will be asked to prom. The movie follows Nova, Jessie, and Brandon’s run-up to the prom as new problems engulf them every day.
Pretty in Pink (1986)
Pretty in Pink is a romantic comedy film about love and social cliques in American high schools in the 1980s. High school senior Andie Walsh lives modestly with her underemployed working class father, Jack. Andie’s best friend, Phil “Duckie” Dale, is in love with her, but is afraid to tell her how he truly feels. Harrassed in school by the affluent kids, Andies is not too keen to go to the prom. But when Blane, one of the affluent kids, asks her out for a date, things begin to change. Is Blane serious? Or is this another prank being payed out before the prom.
