A Dot Com Mom is a Marathi Drama that tells a story of a Maharashtrian, middle-class household. Set in the US and small town India, the movie is scheduled to release on 30th September. The movie takes a keen look between the relationship of a mother with her son, who has now settled in the US. India can boast of many such households and how the family’s lives change is an interesting topic that has been covered only briefly, until now.

A Dot Com Mom Story
Sulbha Chafekar is a simple, small-town housewife in he western state of Maharashtra. Her son travels to the US and finds success in the country. Wanting to share his success with in family back in India, he invites his parents to visit the US. Only, Sulbha lives in a very different environment and is completely detached from the modern way of living.
Things begin to go south as she is unable to adjust to the new country and a different way of life. This creates a rift with her daughter-in-law and she returns to India, cutting short her visit to the US. But soon an emergency requires that she travel to assist her son and she must go to this alien country and find a way to function in a foreign land.
A Dot Com Mom takes a humorous approach to the situation, which sounds quite similar to Englsh-Vinglish, but with a perspective of mother-son relationship.
